A day in the life of a New Orleans wedding planner:
I start my work day off in bed, checking emails. In this industry, there are so many things that can change overnight, so I need to be prepared for whatever those changes may be. When I step into the office, I am ready to take on the day and already know what tasks I need to tackle first.
There is no typical day for a New Orleans wedding planner; every day is different! There are some days when I don’t even make it to the office because we are out and about showing clients venues or taking them to tastings – one of the many perks of this job, but we’ll get into that later 😉 But then, there are some days where I don’t leave the office because I’m either busy catching up on paperwork, putting together Welcome Bags for out of town guests, tying and assembling bridesmaids gifts, updating our website etc., the list is endless. But that’s one of the reasons why I love doing what I do, every day is different!
As I mentioned earlier, one of my personal favorite “perks” of being a wedding planner, in particular a NEW ORLEANS wedding planner, are the food and cake tastings! New Orleans is world famous for it’s cuisine (need I say more?!) so being able to sample some of the best bites in the city is incredible.
A day in the life of a New Orleans wedding planner; exploring and discovering more of what this amazing city has to offer. I’m not saying it’s easy, but sometimes we are “forced” to explore the great city of New Orleans. After all, we need to stay up to date on the hottest new venues, vendors and music trends, it is part of the job description. You can find us scouting out a hot, up-and-coming band in town or a vendor specializing in something new and innovative. Working in a city with so much history, a great vibe and a party atmosphere lends itself to the most amazing weddings around! No surprise that New Orleans ranks as on of the top destination wedding locations!
