Guests not booking hotels/flights
This is without a doubt the number one stressor for brides and grooms planning a destination wedding. Sure, you could assume that everyone who has RSVPed “yes” to your wedding will book a flight and a hotel, but that’s not the way we do it at Z Event Company! We email weekly “ticklers” to your guests reminding them to book their flight and hotel before prices go up or everything gets booked up! An accurate guest count is crucial to planning your perfect wedding.
Relinquishing control to your wedding planner
This is YOUR wedding, YOUR vision and YOUR big day! As your wedding planners, we are here to guide you through the whole wedding planning process, offering suggestions and direction along the way. By getting to you and your fiancée as a couple, we are better able to bring your vision and dreams to life! The best piece of advice I’ve heard our bride tell another was, “Trust them!” After all, we are the experts in town 🙂 Together, we’ll “imaginate,” you imagine it and we create it!
Picking a venue
There’s a lot more involved in venue selection than simply finding one that is aesthetically appealing to you and your fiancée, so having a knowledgeable wedding planner is a big help in this category. Since most brides don’t have the time or money to make several trips to New Orleans to tour all of their possible venues, we propose several locations, email pictures and specs and give you the pro’s and con’s of each location. From there, we discuss your likes and dislikes about each and suggest more until you find the perfect place!
Deciding on vendors
Similarly to selecting a venue, choosing your vendors is something you definitely want to talk about with your wedding planner. Not only have we worked with the best of the best local vendors, but we also hear the “buzz” around town of who did a fabulous job and who….not so much. There are so many vendors in town, that your choices are endless, but don’t feel overwhelmed! Remember, our job is to get to know you, your taste and vision and provide you with vendors that will fit your likes to a T!
