We have been watching what the hottest designers have been putting down the runway, and these styles are going to be some of the biggest wedding dress trends for this fall:
The Spaghetti Strap:
The majority of brides tend to go with a strapless wedding gown, a sweetheart neckline or some version of lace or cap sleeves. This year, we have been seeing more and more designers, such as Christos, Alon Livne and Naeem Khan, sending their “brides-to-be” down the runway in spaghetti straps. It gives great support without taking away from the rest of your dress.
Off the Shoulder:
Much like the spaghetti strap, the off the shoulder look hasn’t been the most popular silhouette in the past few years, but it is making a comeback! Designers like Marchesa, Jim Hjelm and Romona Keveza have been fashioning gowns that aren’t just timeless and classic, but also have fresh new styles and cuts.
Optical Illusions:
We all know heads turn when a bride makes her way down the aisle, but if you want guests to do a double take, wedding gowns that give off an optical illusion are perfect for you! It’s all in the subtle illusion details, such as beading or lacework that looks like it’s not even connected to the dress. Miller and Carolina Herrera are just two of the many designers we’ve been watching who have some gorgeous dresses that will make you look twice.
Long Sleeves:
Long sleeves might be the most expected trend for the Fall season, and if you are thinking sleeves sound conservative and boring, think again! Designers such as Hailey Paige, Luisa Beccaria and Matthew Christopher have been creating gorgeous gowns with delicate lace sleeves generating an overall romantic and elegant look.
