Beautiful and seamless events with very little effort on your part
President, Susan Zackin, a native New Orleanian, has been in the event planning business for over 30 years. She began her career as an interior designer and brings her expert sense of spatial relations and a sense of urgency with her to the event world. Her vast experience, of working both in Florida and other parts of the country, has given her fabulous opportunities to work with many distinguished clients and produce elegant to outrageous events! Susan and her team look forward to starting the event planning process with you on your next event!

Jessica Talbot, a local New Orleanian, joined the Z Event Company team in the fall of 2013 with a passion for people and events. Assisting with weddings, fundraisers and social events, she has become an integral part of the team and Z Event family. Jessica has strong communication skills, is an excellent multi-tasker, and is very organized. Not only is she detail oriented, but she is passionate about customer service and building relationships with both our clients and vendors. Jessica is a valuable team member and works hard to ensure that all of our clients are a guest at their own party!

As your South Florida and New Orleans wedding planners, we will custom design a package that meets your ideas, needs and expectations, as well as your budget. - Assist with etiquette and protocol for invitations, family matters, ceremony and toasts
- Create a comprehensive timeline for your rehearsal and wedding day, including the ceremony and reception
- Help with venue selection and contract negotiations
- Work with you to organize and coordinate your ceremony rehearsal
- Remind bridal party of all pertinent arrival times and “don’t forgets” on the wedding day
- Confirm arrival times and details with all the vendors several days prior to the wedding day
- Be available to have conversations in the evenings and weekends
- Act as the liaison between your family, bridal party, band/DJ, florist, photographer, videographer and other vendors to create a seamless operation
- Assist the bride and bridal party with dressing
- Ensure that the ladies have their corsages and bouquets, etc. and assist in the pinning of the boutonnieres
- Deliver and arrange ceremony programs, escort and place cards, favors
- Coordinate the ceremony (line up the bridal party, assist bride with dress, etc.)
- Coordinate the reception (grand entrance, first dance, toasts, and cake cutting etc.)
- Collect any personal items at the conclusion of the reception
- Review banquet check for accuracy at the end of the reception
- Establish room blocks at various hotels to ensure that guests have accommodations of their choice
- Create a vendor payment schedule
- Provide and manage transportation for entire wedding weekend
- Review catering contracts to ensure all your requests are communicated to the catering manager
- Provide a wide variety of professional vendors that correspond to a number of price points and tastes.
